Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour following completion of probationary period and department review
Schedule: Night shifts only, 4 days on, 4 days off rotational schedule from 8 PM to 6 AM
Job Summary:
Blackwater Public Safety (PPO 17627) seeks a dedicated and professional Armed Vehicle Patrol Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-level security services, including patrolling designated areas in a company vehicle, ensuring the safety and security of the property and personnel, and responding to incidents as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vehicle patrols of assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
- Monitor and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, and security breaches.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, providing assistance and support as needed.
- Maintain a visible and professional presence while on duty.
- Enforce company policies and procedures and local, state, and federal laws.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and employees.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a current BSIS Guard Card.
- Must have a valid Exposed Firearms Permit.
- Must have a clean driving record for 5 years
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
